1. Low temperature hot melt adhesive
Low-temperature hot-melt breaks through the limit of conventional hot-melt adhesives commonly used. Its normal working temperature is only 110℃-130℃, and before that, in the normal use of disposable sanitary products industry, the temperature of hot melt adhesive is about 160℃, and the lower temperature of low temperature hot melt adhesive is 30℃. Traditional hot-melt adhesives and hot-melt adhesives have a significantly lower viscosity at low temperatures than the coating process to ensure that they meet the requirements of operating at low temperatures.
The direct benefit of low-temperature hot melt adhesive is to save electricity costs and machine maintenance and management costs. A large number of practical development and application studies in China have shown that the use of low-temperature hot-melt adhesive for the same hot-melt glue machine can save customers about 15% of electricity bills. However, because my country's low-temperature hot-melt adhesive can hardly be completely free of aging phenomena such as skinning and carbon deposition at its normal operating operating temperature of 110℃-130℃, the maintenance cost of the national machinery is greatly reduced.
In addition, low-temperature hot melt adhesives also have low odor and high bond strength characteristics (see Table 2). On the one hand, low volatile odor can improve the quality of the product, and the requirement for the odor of hot melt adhesive on baby diapers is particularly prominent. On the other hand, if the formula is appropriate, the hot-melt adhesive can be operated at low temperature without losing strength, thereby ensuring the performance of the low-temperature hot-melt adhesive.
More importantly, the low-temperature hot melt adhesive will not scald the PE film, which makes it possible for manufacturers to use thinner and more economical PE films. In the future, if a low-temperature adhesive is combined with a thinner PE film, the inevitable result can provide a huge time and cost-saving imaginary space for the development of manufacturers.
2. Hot melt adhesive packaging
The production and use characteristics of hot-melt adhesives continuously put forward new requirements for the packaging of hot-melt adhesives. The earliest hot melt adhesives were generally packaged in silicone paper. This packaging not only affected the production efficiency of hot melt adhesives, but also was inconvenient for users to operate.
3. Other new technologies for hot melt adhesives
In addition to the above analysis of several issues, the new hot melt adhesive technology also includes:

◆ Suitable for high-frequency spraying hot melt adhesive;
◆High wet strength hot melt adhesive; degradable hot melt adhesive, etc.
